In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Praise be to Allah and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions

The plots, wrath and malice of the Russian regime, the criminal Syrian regime and the mercenary militias persist on the area of Idleb.

Planes and rocket missiles are pouring their fires on Al-Zawiya mountain, Maara, Saraqeb and their surroundings and villages. They strike buildings turning them into ashes on the heads of their residents. The lucky ones are those who manage to survive or escape with their households, or part of them, or a part of their money or belongings.

The Syrian Islamic Council (SIC), as it watches all these event with deep pain, it prays God to pour His detestation, wrath, rage, penalty and punishment on those criminals, and to grant safety and survival to our people and their families and bestow them His generous forgiveness and His kind tranquility and mercy; Verily he is the Most Merciful among all.

The Syrian Islamic Council writes this statement with blood and tears, praying God for a day to come when the defeat of criminals is written with an ink of light. Life is full of ups and downs, and the logic of oppressing force will not last forever. The Syrian people will stay steadfast in Maarra, Al-Zawuya Mountain, Saraqeb, and in all their hometowns and outside. They will be keep sticking to their lands and their rights. The right owners never forget their rights and never forgive the criminals and aggressors.

We, SIC, send today these appeals to be heard by all wise people, and everyone who has an insight to be aware of what’s going on in front of them:

First, a call upon Syrians everywhere: Syrian people abroad are about twenty-five million in different parts of the world, and fifteen million living under the regime. Every single one of those in Syria and abroad has to undertake his duty to alleviate the suffering of our people by extending a helping hand to them, and exposing the crimes of the criminals by all available media.

Second, an appeal to the Russian people that the regime of Bashar al-Assad has lost every viability in a surrounding that is stained by his crimes if it wasn’t for Russian support. You should know that the interests of Russia are not in the alliance with the criminal. The continuing Putin’s criminality will not be in the favor of the future of Arab-Russian or the Islamic-Russian relations. The Russian people will be the biggest loser under the continuation of such crimes, and that will lead to rupture of relations between them and the Muslims in general.

Third, an appeal to the Russian Orthodox Church and those who represent it. This Church was supposed to be an advocate for mercy and protection of humanity according to the teachings of Jesus PBUH, but not to a partner and a blessing giver for the Putin’s crime. The Syrian people will never forgive, and you will, even if after decades, bear the guilt of this partnership with the criminal, Putin. History will write this in its black record.

Fourth, an appeal to the sect that Bashar claims be protecting. Your vast majority has stood with the criminal, after he had tricked you to think that he is your protector, but he used you just like the rest of our people as fuel to feed this insane war that was set ablaze in the face of the aspirations of our people with all its components and sects because they have claimed their legitimate rights of freedom and dignity for all. This might be our opportunity to maintain the fabric of our Syrian people and the continuation of the spirit of coexistence among its components. You must take the initiative to put an limit to this sinful criminal.

Fifth, an appeal to all countries in the world. Your silence to these crimes taking no action to stop them will generate more reasons for malice and hatred. This will turn into forms of violence, revenge taking and chaos, which we neither accept nor call to, a fire in which flames everyone will burn and which heat everyone will suffer. The responsibility of everyone is to stop this blatant injustice on our afflicted people. O Allah You are the our resort, to You only we complain, without You, all are helpless are powerless.
