A statement on the aggression on Northern Syria

In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah the lord of the world, there shall be no aggression but on the unjust, and peace and blessings be upon our prophet, the leader of the blessed mujahideen and upon all his family and companions.

Assaults are still continuous on innocent civilian citizens in rural Aleppo and Idlib using conventional weapons and internationally banned ones by the invasion occupation forces of Russia and Iran and their subordinates, including the sectarian militias and gangs of the regime, despite the fact that the targeted assaulted areas are within the so-called “de-escalation zones” that resulted from the agreement of the “Sochi” and the subsequent agreements.

This shows once again that they have no respect for covenants or vows, nor do they take pity on our Syrian people,

On this aggression, the Syrian Islamic Council affirms the following:

First: the council condemns in the strongest terms this blatant aggression, which has resulted in hundreds of martyrs and injured and thousands displaced and homeless, and has spread terror in the hearts of all innocent civilians including women, children and elderly. It appeals to all states that have any sense of justice, and international organizations that are involved in human rights to intervene to stop this terrible aggression on our oppressed people.

Secondly: the Council calls on Syrians in all areas to protest and denounce, as they are always expected to and they have always showed the world that they stand for their rights, condemn injustice and the injust, and in particular next Friday.

All preachers should dedicate their Friday speeches to condemn this crime and cheer and incite  their patient oppressed brothers.

On this occasion, the Syrian Islamic Council appreciates the demonstrations of our brothers in the cities and villages of Hauran, which has revived the glitter of the revolution and proved again as that it is birthplace of the revolution and the spark of its inception.

Third: people in Syria suffer from the lack of basics of living such as fuel, gas and medicine, many of their house are destroyed, and they have no job opportunities to secure their daily bread.

Syria is classified by international organizations as the poorest country in the world. Syrians in the diaspora are suffering, and the criminal regime is increasing their suffering by taking advantage of them when they want to get any documents they need. Above all such suffering, the regime still thinks with the mentality of arrogance and tyranny. Its first concern is to restore the statues of the dead criminal, the butcher of Syria, Hafez al-Assad, which Syrian had destroyed in their hearts before pulling them down on the ground. This proves every day that the nature of the regime is beyond any refrom and must be overthrown and eliminated.

On the occasion of the completion of the eight year of revolution, the council cheers the steadfastness of our people in all places and fields, and cheers the honourable revolutionary people who watch the interests of our people and who uphold the principles of our revolution.  We salute every sincere effort for the benefit of our people and our revolution from all brotherly countries and friendly organizations.

In conclusion, we ask God to have mercy on our martyrs, and heal our patients and wounded, free our prisoners, and support or weak ones, and house our homeless.

And we always remind the Syrians with what the Most Truthful Speaker said, ” O you who believe, be patient, keep patient, be on alert and fear God, so that you may succeed.”
