In the name of Allah the Merciful

Never, in contemporary history, has the people of a country had a worse regime than the al-Assad-led gang that has been dominating the Syrians, subjecting them to disgrace and humiliation. Every single Syrian house and family has been affected by this tyrannical regime’s actions whether it’s killing, arrest, torture or displacement. And the country as a whole has been afflicted with tyranny and corruption that has transformed a free and great Syria into a feudalism of systematic and deliberate terror, fear, poverty and unemployment.

And now a great misfortune comes in the form of a shameless farce that aims to justify the continuation of the tyrant in his position under the cover of a phony, fraudulent and illegal election which cannot conceal or hide the serious flaws of this tyranny. As signatories to this document, we illustrate the following:

First: Syria, the ancient, glorious and civilized nation with its ethical ​​and moral values rejects such a criminal gang and its leader (Bashar al-Assad) completely. And so does every single free Syrian – regardless of their place of residence- either inside the al-Assad-occupied parts or the liberated areas of the pure land of Syria or whether they are an asylum seeker or an immigrant in the wide world, they all refuse the survival of the gang and its thoughtless leader, pledging allegiance to God first, and to the martyrs  of our revolution, all detainees, bereaved, widows, orphans, displaced and oppressed persons second to adhere to the principles of the revolution until victory and getting rid of this regime.

Second: The so-called elections that Bashar and his gang are trying to promote are nothing more than an episode in a long chain of oppression, corruption and tyranny. The rule of the Al-Assad family began fifty years ago with a military coup, and then continued with referendums and elections in which Al-Assad chooses his rivals and manipulates the results without any opportunity for any opponent of any gender to talk about the forgery and the falsification that ravages these elections under a brutal military regime.

Third: The goal of the Assad regime in this distorted election is to gain legitimacy that will never be achieved. His continuation in power will only be more humiliating, bringing more poverty and displacement to the Syrian people, and more dependence on Russia and Iran. Participating in such “phony elections” means to participate in a real crime that is not acceptable by an honorable citizen or any free person. Only those who want this criminal regime to continue to shed the blood of Syrians and destroy the country will recognize the false results, whether states, governments or organizations.

In conclusion, we, the signatories of this document, will make every effort to thwart this scheme and expose the harms and dangers it entails which threaten our people and our national cause, for which we call all free Syrian people to take part in.

Long live Syria, a free and great nation, and long live the great Syrian people
